How to not get type II diabetes….. The chart shown below is a graph that represents how much insulin your pancreas produces in relation to each of the three main food groups. Dr Tred Rissacher Slim Body Laser Spa
Protein, Fat and Carbohydrates
High insulin production after eating certain foods is called the Glycemic Index. Foods which cause a high insulin response are considered high glycemic foods because they cause the pancreas to release a lot of insulin.
All foods are compared to the insulin response of sucrose (table sugar) at 100 as the max.
Foods such as fat, protein and raw vegetables are much lower o the glycemic index from 25-50. These have a lower insulin response and thus are less likely to store fat.
The main thought here is that foods that cause a high insulin response are more likely to cause fat storage since the amount of blood sugar (glucose) is too high in relation to your bodies ability to burn that much energy in such a short period of time. What is not burned as energy for work will always be stored as fat within 4 hours.
So a higher insulin response is a direct indicator of storing fat after a meal.
