Persons who are interested in losing weight can sometimes become confused between eating less and exercising more which is called “traditional weight loss” vs using the Lipo Laser which does not require eating less or any exercise at all. I will try my best to explain the difference between them and why using both can be so much more effective than either one on it’s own. When I was first introduced to the Lipo Laser procedure I was with several of my colleagues attending the N.A.L.T conference being held at a hotel in West Palm Beach. After attending many fantastic presentations about Laser Therapy at the conference they had one last workshop which was promoted by a sign which said “Come attend a LIPO Laser Workshop where you can lose 3-9 inches of stubborn belly fat while you lie on your back and listen to music.” I thought to myself…that is impossible..everyone knows you have to eat less and exercise if you want to lose weight. How can you lie on your back without dieting or exercise and lose weight? So at least 15 of us doctors sat in on the presentation and were introduced to an FDA cleared infra red Laser device called the Lapex 2000 which was being promoted as a “Lipo Laser” (I later learned it was approved by the FDA for muscle relaxation and pain relief and was being used off label for circumferential inch reduction.) They took a male volunteer from the audience who was around 50 years old and had a nice belly of approximately 38-40 inches. They applied the Lapex machine to his mid section which used 2 paddles about the size of a large cellphone and these were placed onto the skin and were held by a Velcro strap for 10 minutes. Every ten minutes they were moved to another area until they were moved 5 times totaling 50 minutes. During which the representative from the manufacturer was explaining the benefits and such. At the end of the 50 minutes he was remeasured AND HE ACTUALLY LOST ONE INCH IN CIRCUMFERENCE in 3 separate areas for a total inch loss of 3 inches while sitting in the chair as we watched! The before and after measurements were performed by a volunteer doctor who verified that the measurements were correct. I saw the reduction with my own eyes and validated it was not a joke. So did many other doctors who were in attendance. So Yes the Lipo Laser really worked without diet and without exercise in only 50 minutes. Of course I bought one from that conference and brought it home to my office in Stuart Florida and held my own Lipo Laser workshop and have been using it now for 6 years ever since. What I found was, it worked very well on soft subcutaneous fat. It can not however make a person lose weight. Which makes perfect sense after working with the machine. That is because it will shrink and release the fat trapped in your outside compartment called the subcutaneous compartment. Sub cutaneous fat is the stuff you can squish and pinch between your fingers. Not the stuff deep in your body surrounding your organs. This deep fat is called visceral fat and the only way to lose visceral fat is to eat less and exercise. AHA! That was the difference. The Lipo Laser targets the fat on the outside like the belly flab, the muffin tops, the love handles, the flabby legs, or flabby arms and the back fat or double chins. So when you combine weight loss and Lipo Laser, you end up with something that is more effective than weight loss alone since once you reach a certain age, diet and exercise will not work when you wish to tone and shape the outer fatty layer. This outer layer, once you are over 50, becomes so STUBBORN that most people begin to consider Lipo Suction since it seems like the only alternative as they get older. Well the Lapex Lipo Laser has been proven by me and my own clients to effectively reduce sub cutaneous fat in only 9 sessions in 3 weeks every time you do it. Since it does not require diet or exercise you get results while eating a healthy smart diet and walking or mild exercise as you might do strolling at night after eating. To summarize…. the Lipo Laser targets an area of fat which does not respond to diet and exercise, once you are over 50 years old for the most part. However when you combine my Lipo Laser procedure along with traditional weight loss and exercise the results can be DRAMATIC in how quickly you get results. In fact you can actually sculpt your body while you lose weight. Try doing that with diet alone.
